The US-based FTC organization has recently changed its guidelines on diclosure in online advertisement. This means that for US-based bloggers, we’ll need to be much more clear about product sent for consideration and affiliate links.

Take the time to read this post by Carlene where she goes over how to properly disclose in social media and blog posts. The post applies to all types of bloggers, not just beauty bloggers.

It is good practice to continue to be honest with readers by disclosing which posts are paid, which products have been sent for consideration, and which links are affiliate links. The little c/o is no longer considered satisfactory for disclosure.

Love this video by SecretLifeofaBioNerd. I love that while she may be a Sigma Affiliate, she’s not afraid to be real to herself and say that $40 for the glove is too much for her personally. The alternative for herself and her viewers looks fabulous

This is for all you people who look at the weird Lip Tar colors wondering “what are you gonna do with a green lip tar. I got OCC’s Power Plant and Pretty Boy Lip Tar recently and I was curious to see what it’d be like if I mixed Power Plant with Pretty Boy. Welp the answer is a beautiful purple-toned pink.

(this was maybe a 75-25 ratio of Pretty Boy to Power Plant.
