This is a boring FYI post but for anyone intending on buying makeup from indie shops, pay attention to their turn around time (the time it takes for them to process your order and ship it out). IF the stated turn around time would make receipt of your purchase exceed or get close to Paypal’s 45 day limit for filing a dispute (if they use Paypal, so say 30-35 business days excluding weekends and holidays plus mailing time), PROCEED WITH CAUTION (or just avoid the place all together). I’m also wary of places that give really broad turn around times (5-20 for example).

This applies to domestic shops by the way (domestic being USA for me); international shops may have much longer shipping times so take that into account when purchasing.

It’s my opinion that if you have so much business that your turn around time is that long, you should reevaluate how you’re managing your time, close the cart system (which can be really annoying), or you can try to hire some help so your customers don’t end up forgetting what they’ve ordered by the time they’ve gotten it. I know that not everyone can afford to hire on help, but it’s just a little unreasonable for customers to wait they long for something they ordered.

Easily my new favorite indie eyeshadow primer. It was fantastic on my oily hooded eyelids.

I’m sure I’ve posted about this before but it bears repeating. I know a lot of people like indie eyeshadows but don’t like that they’re loose so I did a tutorial showing how to press them into pans. 

The eyeshadows in the picture are: Fyrinnae Sacred, Sugarpill Lumi, Fyrinnae Newcastle, Darling Girl Curious, and Sugarpill Goldilux. They all turned out perfect when pressed!
